First Time in Cali
It has always been a dream of mine to go to Cali, and I finally got my chance. We told our dispatch that we wanted a load going there, and he made it happen. Our load was going from Chicago, IL to Fontana, CA. I saw a lot of things that I'd never seen before. I'll have a post about that later. I had to do a post about Cali first because I was so excited.
There were a lot of storms going on around the California, and Nevada area. I was so excited because I LOVE storms. Especially thunderstorms. I was able to capture this amazing shot of a microburst system off in the desert. The way that the sun's light is reflecting off of it was breathtaking. This picture does not do it justice. I was able to take this picture while we were moving down the interstate.
Right after I took that picture, I looked to my left and saw a rainbow amid the storm. I was so excited. Anybody who knows me knows that I love rainbows, just because to me they mean happiness & joy. After a couple of minutes, the sun went away, and the rainbow disappeared.
After we dropped our load, we wanted to go get something to eat. We asked the people that worked at the warehouse what was a good place to eat at they told us about a Mexican spot about 5 minutes away. It's called Taqueria Viva Vila Market.
-LET ME TELL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is amazing, and the service was awesome. I finally got to try the Quesabrillas. Cali knows how to do it lol. The drinks we had are called Horchata. It takes like French Toast Crunch milk. It was so good, we went back the next day and had some more. If you are ever in the Fontana area of Cali, this has to be a go-to spot. It's located at 15092 Slover Ave, Fontana, CA 92335.
We decided since we had some time until our next load, we would go for a walk and look at the area. We weren't far from the Speedway in Fontana. We saw an ice cream truck and got some ice cream. It brought back childhood memories. I got my favorite cookies & cream cone, and he got a snowcone with the bubble gum at the bottom. It was everything we needed.
I was able to take a picture that I've always wanted to take. I know it's kinda cliche, but I think it is very much necessary to get a picture like this.
I think this is my favorite picture. I took this picture while we were getting loaded. I love how the shadow of the trees are in the photo. This picture I feel has that Cali essence.
